The person in this role will support project teams in developing a modern data platform in a cloud environment for global brands. They will be responsible for ensuring data quality by designing and executing test cases for data pipelines and BI solutions. Working in an international environment, they will gain hands-on experience with BI & Big Data cloud architectures and modern DataOps practices. This role offers an opportunity to work with the latest technologies in cloud data engineering while developing skills in automated testing, data validation, and quality assurance. 

Responsibilities: 

• ETL Process Testing: Validate data extraction accuracy from various sources, ensure correctness of transformations, and confirm proper loading into target systems. Conduct performance testing to optimize efficiency and reliability.
• API Testing: Verify data accuracy transmitted via APIs by testing functionalities, services, and system behavior to ensure optimal performance.
• Configuration File Validation: Develop and implement validation rules to maintain consistency and correctness in configuration files.
• Reports Testing: Ensure proper functionality of reports and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) by verifying filters, drill-downs, and interactive features. Validate data accuracy and consistency by comparing reports with source data.
• Comprehensive Testing: Perform functional, integration, and regression tests to ensure software and data integrity. Assist in UAT by gathering and analyzing feedback from end-users.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed test documentation aligned with business requirements. Report and track bugs in Jira/ClickUp, conducting initial analyses to streamline issue resolution.

Requirements: 

• Ability to write integration tests in Python (including knowledge of relevant libraries for this, e.g. pytest, unittest). 

• Ability to think analytically and to analyze processes and data.
• Good knowledge of Python and basic SQL.
• Knowledge of REST API concepts and familiarity with tools for using and testing APIs (e.g. Postman, SoapUI).
• Knowledge of techniques and tools for creating automated end-to-end tests for data acquisition and processing processes.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, including but not limited to: SQL Database, Synapse, Redshift, Aurora, Cosmos DB.
• Ability to use JIRA/ClickUp tools and git repositories.
• Experience in designing and describing scenarios and test cases for internal (integration, user) and acceptance tests (UAT).
• Knowledge of English at min. B2.
