For our amazing team, we are looking for a DevOps / SysOps Engineer, a technology enthusiast who has no problem implementing various solutions in ongoing projects.
As a DevOps / SysOps Engineer within Reffine, you will be ensuring that all our systems and apps are running at optimum performance and constantly striving to maintain high availability, security, and resiliency standards. To achieve this you will be liaising and working closely with Developers, SysOps and Security Teams together with Product Owners as well as other stakeholders within the organisation.

Requirements


Our requirements:
Tech/Skills:
  • minimum two years of commercial experience in a similar position (is a must)
  • Basics: Linux OS administration, filesystems, backups, TCP/IP protocols (networking), DNS, Git, log management, Linux services (Linux, Nginx, Postgresql/Mysql, HAProxy), remote server access (SSH)
  • Containerisation/Virtualisation: Docker, Proxmox
  • AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3), AWS CLI
  • Bash scripting
  • Automation, infrastructure as code and configuration management: Ansible and Terraform
  • Gitlab CI (pipelines, deployments)
  • Performance and availability monitoring (Icinga/Nagios, Netdata)
  • Ability to prioritize tasks/work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Critical thinking
  • Problem-solving personality
  • Good technical English.
It will be a plus if you are familiar with:
  • Ruby
  • Hosting node.js and ruby apps (with Phusion Passenger)
  • Testing frameworks and automation (RSpec, ServerSpec, Selenium etc)
  • Packer, Vagrant + other Hashicorp tools
  • More advanced networking (VPNs, Firewalls)
  • security (pen testing, monitoring, automation)
