Tensorflight is a Polish  insurtech  startup  that is revolutionizing  the insurance industry. 

We are developing an AI building inspector and give underwriters and insurers access to rich and accurate datasets for commercial property to create better insurance products. We automate inspections of commercial, residential and industrial buildings using aerial, satellite, and ground-level imagery. Our system combines derived data with geospatial information and public records to unlock valuable insight about buildings and properties such as replacement value, construction type, or roof characteristics.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with a focus on computer vision, preferably holding a Ph.D. degree in a related field.

• Hands-on experience with a range of computer vision tasks, including but not limited to image processing, object detection, and image segmentation.

• Proven track record in leading machine learning projects, preferably those funded by grants. Experience in writing reports for grants and participating in the creation of grant applications is highly desirable.

• Experience in working with large-scale datasets and data preprocessing techniques.

• Published papers or articles in reputable journals or conferences are a plus.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in developing and implementing classical ML and deep learning methods and models, using frameworks such as PyTorch and scikit-learn.

• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.

• Deep understanding of classical ML, deep learning and computer vision principles, techniques, and algorithms.

• Ability to solve complex problems, think analytically, and apply critical thinking in designing and implementing computer vision solutions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.

• Passion for staying updated with the latest research and advancements in computer vision and machine learning fields.

• Communicative English.

• Self-driven attitude, independence, and self-management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to develop machine learning and computer vision algorithms that have a high business impact.

• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts and data engineers in cross-functional teams.

• Design, implement, and own machine learning solutions from idea initiation to deployment.

• Conduct data analysis and work closely with data engineers for data preprocessing and pipeline development.

• Lead and manage project initiatives, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and produce reports for grant purposes.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and computer vision, and apply them to solve complex problems.

• Contribute to the growth of our machine learning team by mentoring junior members and sharing your expertise and knowledge.
