Platige Image is on the lookout for talented Compo Artists across various levels of seniority — Mid-level, Seniors and Leads. If you have a keen eye for balance, light, and color, and are passionate about contributing to high-end VFX projects, then we’d love to hear from you. Below are the details of what we're looking for at each level. 

We are looking for candidates located in or willing to relocate to Gran Canaria as well as cooperate on a B2B contract.





Mid-level Compo Artist

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks associated with the compositing process, including 2D and 3D tracking, rotoscoping, painting, matte extraction, layering of elements, CG integration, and color grading.

  • Seamlessly integrate live-action, miniature, and CGI sources.

  • Work closely with Supervisors to composite elements that complete the visual effects shot.

  • Follow the production process and develop creative approaches and problem-solving.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of digital compositing experience in a feature film, animation, games, or commercial production environment.

  • Advanced working knowledge of Nuke.

  • Strong understanding of perspective, color theory, and composition.

  • Experience in photomontage and photo compositing.

  • Artistic background in painting, drawing, or 3D modeling.

  • Experience in creating Gizmos for current production needs.

  • Ability to work on shot sequences and maintain overall consistency and quality.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Good knowledge of English is required.

Additionally Scored:

  • Knowledge of Maya and basic Nuke Python scripting skills.

  • Deep understanding of all aspects of the 3D and VFX pipeline.

  • A portfolio of traditional arts (painting, drawing, photography, filmmaking) and strong camera layout skills.




Senior Compo Artist

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work on shot sequences and maintain overall consistency and quality.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Good knowledge of English is required.

Additionally Scored:

  • Expert-level working knowledge of Maya and basic Nuke Python scripting.

  • Deep understanding of all aspects of the 3D and VFX pipeline.

  • A portfolio of traditional arts (painting, drawing, photography, filmmaking) that matches moving and camera layout skills.




Lead Compo Artist

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Supervisor, evaluate the creative and technical approach for assigning the shots.

  • Perform all the tasks associated with the compositing process, including 2D and 3D tracking, rotoscoping, painting, matte extraction, layering of elements, CG integration, and color grading.

  • Provide artistic and technical feedback to the Compo Team.

  • Solve everyday problems.

  • Think creatively and globally.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of digital compositing experience in a feature film, animation, games, or commercial production environment and at least 2 years experience leading a team or a project.

  • Working knowledge of Nuke on an expert level.

  • Gizmo creation for current production needs.

  • Ability to work on shot sequence and maintain overall consistency and quality.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other artists.

Additionally Scored:

  • Deep understanding of all aspects of 3D and VFX pipeline steps.

  • Working knowledge of Maya on an expert level and basic level Nuke Python scripting.

  • Portfolio of traditional arts (painting, drawing, photography, filmmaking).
