Platige Image is looking for talented Matchmove Artists to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for recreating the movement of a live-action camera in a 3D environment. You will collaborate closely with VFX supervisors, compositors, and 3D artists to ensure the accurate placement of 3D elements in the scene. The project is planned to start in January and we are looking for candidates located in or willing to relocate to Gran Canaria as well as cooperate on a B2B contract. 





 DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES IN A NUTSHELL

  • Accurately track and match live-action movement within a 3D environment.

  • Reconstruct camera movements and object tracking for VFX shots.

  • Manage matchmove tasks on a per-project basis, ensuring high-quality results.

  • Apply established tracking techniques and perform geometric reconstruction of key objects.

  • Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Collaborate with VFX/CG Supervisors and other departments for smooth CG integration.

  • Resolve technical challenges and contribute to developing new techniques.

  • Work effectively within a team, following direction from Supervisors and the Production Team.


REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 2-years’ experience working with various types of video and trailers and fast-paced effects.

  • Proficiency in matchmoving software such as PFTrack, 3DEqualizer, or similar tools.

  • Good understanding of camera lenses, perspective, and motion.

  • Very good knowledge of all tracking techniques.

  • Proficiency in physical camera technicalities.

  • Strong attention to details to achieve pixel perfection.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.


ADDITIONALLY SCORED

  • Experience working with 3D software such as Maya and/or Nuke.

  • Basic knowledge of compositing and integration of CG elements.

  • Previous experience in a VFX, film, or game production environment.
