Platige Image is on the lookout for talented Environment Artists at different levels of experience — Mid, Senior and Lead — to help bring our VFX projects to life in a highly believable way. If you are skilled in creating 3D environments and assets with a keen eye for detail, and you thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you. Below are the details of what we're looking for at each level.
We are looking for candidates located in or willing to relocate to Gran Canaria as well as cooperate on a B2B contract.
Daily Responsibilities:
Create high and low-poly 3D objects and 3D environments.
Develop high-quality assets in collaboration with other artists within the studio.
Understand the project design documents to accurately capture the environments, objectives, atmospheres, story, and style of the project.
Interpret visual references and align with the art direction.
Maintain the production pipeline and meet project deadlines.
Solve everyday problems and adapt to the evolving needs of the project.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the CG or game industry.
Strong skills in Maya, Substance Painter/Mari, and Arnold.
Excellent knowledge of composition, color theory, lighting, and procedurally generated content.
High creativity with an excellent eye for detail, scale, and architecture.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Additionally Scored:
Deep understanding of all aspects of the 3D and VFX pipeline.
Familiarity with Speedtree, Gaea/World Machine, Houdini, ZBrush, Quixel, Marvelous Design, and 3D scanning techniques.

Strong skills in assembling and managing large scene files, with a deep understanding of proper world scale and architectural design.
Advanced knowledge of composition, color theory, lighting, and procedurally generated content.
Ability to work independently, with strong self-criticism and the ability to evaluate the final look of the project.
High creativity with an excellent eye for detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Additionally Scored:
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the 3D and VFX pipeline.
Knowledge of Speedtree, Gaea/World Machine, Houdini, ZBrush, Quixel, Marvelous Design, and 3D scanning techniques.
Daily Responsibilities:
Lead the environment art team through the production of high-quality 3D assets and environments.
Oversee and contribute to the creation of both high and low-poly models.
Ensure visual consistency and technical quality across all assets and environments.
Collaborate closely with other departments (Lighting, Animation, VFX, etc.) to achieve the best possible results.
Mentor and support other artists, providing feedback and guidance throughout the production process.
Stay current with industry trends and tools to continuously improve workflows and techniques.
Solve complex problems and provide innovative solutions as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in creating top-tier 3D environments for cinematics, games, or VFX projects.
Strong portfolio showcasing both artistic and technical skills.
Experience leading or mentoring other artists.
Excellent proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine, Substance Painter/Mari, and Arnold).
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to easily communicate in English.
