Senior Tech Support Engineer

location: Warsaw, Poland/ remote work

What does our Tech support do?


Our Technical Support Team provides high quality support within post-sale service for Fudo’s Clients, both – polish and international ones. Throughout constant back up - starting with participation in product implementation up till solving daily Clients’ difficulties – Technical Support Team efforts impact on Fudo’s growth.


What is important for us?

  • Documented minimum of 6 years of experience in the following areas:

    • Administration of Unix/Linux systems (preferably FreeBSD) from the console

    • Administration of services in Unix/Linux environments (web servers, applications, logs, etc.)

    • LAN network administration (IPv4 addressing, VLANs, routing, OSI model)

    • Diagnosing performance issues with systems, networks, hardware

  • Experience in administering PostgreSQL database servers

    • Ability to write complex SQL queries

    • Ability to correlate data from multiple tables

    • Analyzing database logs and performance

    • Conducting database backups and restoration from backups

  • Managing hardware platforms (hardware RAID, IPMI/BMC, diagnosing and replacing server components)

  • Shell scripting

  • Understanding of cryptography

  • Focus on working in tech support and eagerness to learn.

  • Positive attitude and a mindset focused on improvement.

  • Curiosity and a focus on clients’ needs.

  • English proficiency enabling task execution.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, GPO, etc.)

  • Understanding of system and network security issues

  • Knowledge of ZFS file system

  • Experience in backup and data recovery

  • Familiarity with Python

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence environments

  • Knowledge of Git version control system

  • Familiarity with SCRUM, ITIL methodologies

  • Awareness of IT security issues.


What tasks do we want to assign you? 

  • Analysis and answering Clients’ queries and technical problems. 

  • Keeping contact with Clients, at times – personal within business trips. 

  • Cooperation with Development and QA Teams in identification and solving unusual issues. 

  • Contribution to product implementations and environment integration. 

  • Preparing software testing environment.
